Company Computers and Employees:
Company computers are to be used for business purposes only.
Loading of any programs or the downloading of any data onto company computers without company consent is strictly prohibited.
*All data stored on company computers or servers is the property of the Company.
The transfer of any data from Company servers or computers without a legitimate business purpose is prohibited.
Electronic Mail
Our electronic mail system is primarily for official business. Non-business messages may be sent to specific individuals, but please limit the business time spent on messages that do not have a business purpose.
We expect you to honor our password protection system and not read other people’s email.*However, please keep in mind that email is not private or confidential. Any message you send can be forwarded. Any email including those deleted can be retrieved.
*All messages are Company records and are the property of the Company.
*The Company reserves the right to read, use and disclose email messages. For these reasons, you should not use the email system for any information you consider personal or private.
When using the email system, keep in mind that you are using Company property. As a result, your comments must be appropriate to our business setting. Please take special care to avoid jokes or comments that would be inconsistent with our policies prohibiting discrimination and harassment.
Internet
Access to the Internet is provided for company business. Non-business use of the Internet may be authorized. Please limit the time spent on non-business related web pages.
*Please keep in mind that all Internet traffic can and will be monitored. Avoid web sites that may contain information that would not be appropriate for our business setting. Be sure to avoid sites that include content that would be inconsistent with our policies prohibiting discrimination and harassment.
*Pornographic and other offensive material will not be tolerated.
Misuse
*Improper use of Company communications services or equipment is subject to discipline including possible discharge.
If you suspect any misuse of the Company’s systems, notify a member of the
executive committee.
*The Company reserves the right to limit and/or terminate access to the electronic communications system at any time.
